Vivian Sturdee
Vivian Sturdee (1937–1986) was an artist and art educator from London, Ontario, who worked mainly in photography and printmaking. Committed to the art community in London, she was a high school art teacher at Beal Secondary School from 1970 to 1986 and was an active participant in developing a new art gallery in the London Public Library. She represented the Canadian Artists Representation (CAR, now CARFAC) during negotiations and planning for the new gallery in 1976. In this role, she advocated for the allocation of funding to purchase artworks for the gallery’s collection.
