Simon Pov

Simon Pov (1917–1964) was an Inuit sculptor from Inukjuak (Port Harrison), Nunavik, Quebec.
His stone sculptures depict animals, human busts, and scenes from daily life, including hunting and family activities. Simon was careful to make use of imperfections within the stone, integrating them purposefully into the design of the sculpture. His carvings are held in private collections internationally.
