Sholem Krishtalka

Sholem Krishtalka (1979– ) is a Canadian writer and painter who lives and works in Berlin. Krishtalka’s work is a deconstruction of his life documenting his relationships and mapping his life and community. Krishtalka obtained a BFA from Concordia University and an MFA from York University. His writing has been featured in Canadian Art, C Magazine, CBC Arts Online, and Bookforum, among others. His artwork has been featured in Carte Blanche 2: Painting, a survey of contemporary Canadian painting. He had solo shows in Brooklyn, New York, at Jack the Pelican Presents, in Peterborough, at the Art Gallery of Peterborough and in Toronto at the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives.
