Mary Tukiliaq Padlayat

Mary Tukiliaq Padlayat (1906–?) was a sculptor from Salluit (Sugluk), Nunavik, Quebec. Many of her carvings feature women, their daily activities, and animals.
Her work has been exhibited across Canada in exhibitions such as Sugluk: Sculpture in Stone 1953-1959 at the Art Gallery of Windsor in 1992 and Women and Art in Salluit: The Poetry of Early Sculpture at the Winnipeg Art Gallery in 1990. Her work has also been collected by the Canadian Museum of History, Gatineau, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and the Acadia University Art Gallery, Wolfville, among others.
