Glen James
Glen James
Glen James (twentieth century) was a self-taught Jamaican-Canadian artist living in Kensington Market in Toronto where Michael Pflug (husband of artist Christiane Pflug) discovered and encouraged his artistic talent and provided him with art supplies in exchange for his art. James occasionally appeared in a few exhibitions at the Creative Spirit Art Centre, a gallery in Toronto that exhibited artists with disabilities.
Discontented with life in Canada, he is said to have engineered his return to Jamaica by getting himself deported.
