David Chavel
1942–
David Chavel (1942– ), is an interdisciplinary artist born in Woodstock, Ontario. Chavel studied material arts at the Ontario College of Art and is best known for his metal-working techniques. Chavel applied his metal-working skills working across several media, including jewellery, collage, sculpture, and metal relief panels.
Chavel was a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and participated in many group exhibitions and commissions in Toronto. His work has also been acquired nationally at the Edmonton Art Gallery, Vancouver Art Gallery, Winnipeg Art Gallery, London Public Library, National Gallery of Canada, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
