Daniel Oweetaluktuk

Daniel Oweetaluktuk (1934– ) is an Inuit sculptor. Born in Povungnituk, Daniel resides in Inukjuak (Port Harrison), Nunavik, Quebec. His wife, Dora, is also a sculptor. Daniel carves as a means of support for himself and his family. His carvings often depict both humans and animals.
His work has been featured in major exhibitions and collections, including at the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum, Santa Fe, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Mackenzie Art Gallery, Regina, and the Agnes Etherington Art Centre at Queen's University, Kingston, among others.
