Clint Griffin

1973–

Clint Griffin (1973– ) is a Canadian visual artist who showcases diverse artistic expressions through his mixed media creations, incorporating painting, photography, and found objects. His artistic approach revolves around intricate canvas collages that serve as a response to and reinterpretation of the world around him. Griffin seamlessly integrates and repurposes elements sourced from existing materials, giving birth to wholly unique and abstract creations within his imaginative compositions of landscapes and figures.

Griffin’s artistic creations have garnered acclaim and have been showcased in various exhibitions throughout Canada and the United States. These notable exhibitions include venues such as Mercer Union (Toronto), Berenberg Gallery (Boston), the American Primitive Gallery (New York), Yard Dog (Austin), Gaurde-Rail (Seattle), Galerie Trois Pointes (Montréal), and the Katharine Mulherin Art Project (Toronto and New York).

In 2013, Griffin was featured in The Painting Project (2013), a significant exhibition curated by Louise Déry and Julie Bélisle at Galerie de l’UQAM. Clint’s artistic contributions have not gone unnoticed, as his works have been acquired by institutions such as the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, Bank of Montreal, Art Bank of the Canada Council for the Arts in Ottawa, Senvest Collection in Montreal, Sun Life Collection in Toronto, and the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, among others.
