Bernadette Iguptark Tongelik (1931–1980), was an Inuit sculptor based in Repulse Bay, Northwest Territories. Her work can be found in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, the Government of Nunavut, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Her stone sculptures capture transformation and often depict animals shifting into human lifeforms. The work featured in the collection is “Hunter in Kayak,” a sculpture of a hunting scene comprised of grey stone, bone and sinew.
