Amy-Claire Huestis
Amy-Claire Huestis (early 1970s– ) is a Ladner, BC-based visual artist who embraces a diverse range of artistic expressions—painting, drawing, experiential works, books, and time-based performance art.
Huestis work is inspired by nature’s mysteries and elemental forces, instilling a state of wonder. Besides her active studio practice, she collaborates with international and local artists. These collaborations involve durational performance, dance, and writing.
Her focus lies currently in exploring the marshland of Fraser River delta. With a fine arts background from Concordia University and a media arts MFA from UCLA, Amy-Claire shares her passion by teaching drawing and painting at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Huestis has shown her work and performed extensively across Canada and the United States.
