John Baljkas
John Baljkas is a Canadian artist and graphic designer. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Fine Arts from York University, both specializing in graphic design. A member of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers, he currently teaches graphic design courses at Conestoga College and serves as the coordinator for the advanced diploma in graphic design. He has previously taught at George Brown College, Humber College, OCAD University, and York University.
Baljkas has received numerous awards and research grants, including the Samuel Sarick Purchase Prize awarded to a Master of Fine Arts student at York University for the purchase of their work to display in the Joan and Martin Goldfarb Centre. Throughout his career as a designer, Baljkas has provided multi-faceted design work to numerous commercial clients, including BMW (Canada), Canadian Tire, the Government of Ontario, HSBC, TD Waterhouse, Toronto Stock Exchange, Union Gas, and many more.
