Shiferaw’s work is about music, time, and race, layered into subtly articulated surfaces of paint. Geometric forms are frequently layered in his abstract works, often exploreing hierarchical systems, societal structures, and the perception of space. The artist often integrates hip hop culture by titling his works after songs.
